HOLIDAY CAMPS:

 

Winter Camp:  "ScreenPlay!"

 

FOF has added a special Winter Camp in collaboration with JETS.  This new innovative curriculum, designed for children ages 9 to 11 and ages 12 to 14 will take place in Discovery Bay and combines fun and interactive drama performance training with video production for all participants.

 

The camp takes place from 10 am to 3 pm each day.  On the last day an Awards Ceremony and Screening will take place as well as Drama Performances in the Discovery Bay Plaza.  All participants get hands on training with high end equipment as well as acting and drama training by the well established JETS organization. 

 

Each day follows the format of

  • AM:  drama games/film tech 
  • PM:  performance training/shoot

 

All participants will receive a DVD of the final piece and a Certificate of Achievement within two weeks of program completion.

 

ScreenPlay Camp I:   December 19th through December 23rd

ScreenPlay Camp II:  December 27th through December 31st

 

Venue:  Discovery Bay Community Hall

Transportation:  Bus number 9 from Discovery Bay Plaza

 

Fees:  2,950 hkd per head inclusive of all equipment and instruction.

 

Please note:  A non-refundable administrative fee of 200 hkd is applied upon the confirmation of your child's place on camp.  The closing ceremony DVD and the program t-shirt are available for 200 hkd each. 

       

Cancellation:  A full refund is granted if we receive written confirmation of withdrawal seven days before camp commences.  After the seventh day begins, no refunds can be entertained.  No refunds or transferals can be entertained for any government forced closure of facilities or for any closure due to weather conditions (typhoon 8 or black rain storm). 

 

Confirmation:  Upon confirmation of your place on program, you will receive a camp package detailing each day's actilities and release forms.

 

Registration:  You can find our registration form in the menu to your right.  Just fill it out and submit!  We will get back to you when your place is confirmed.


           

OTHER HOLIDAY CAMPS

 

  • Upcoming camps are conducted from Nine am to Six pm with a break for lunch, Monday through Friday unless otherwise specified. The basics of film production are covered in the first day and shooting commences on Day Two. Times and locations for days Two Three and Four are flexible as this is an on-location film shoot. Participants are put on a real live production so starting times will varys to what scenes are selected by directors to shoot, weather conditions, location restrictions and other variables. Students are given a lunch break every day. Students have the option to bring their own lunch or go off campus. Lunch is not provided as part of the program. The final section of the camp is spent in Post Production and there is a Screening of the works on the final day. The screenings are open to friends and family of the participants. In general screenings take place from six to eight on the Friday, subject to change.
  • All workshops are conducted by overseas diploma holders in Film and Video Studies and/or are working professionals in their field and have extensive experience in youth art education. The ratio of instructor to student is one to seven. FOF programs are fully insured and camp fees cover all equipment costs and transportation during production, but not meals.

  • All workshops are conducted in ENGLISH with a Cantonese component for those students who need it.
  • Topics covered in all camps are: acting for camera, directing for camera, pre production, line producing, script writing, script breakdown, storyboarding, production roles, set protocol, camera operation, lighting, sound, acting, directing, production management, post production, editing and screening.

  • High end video production equipment is used including Pro HD cameras, fluid head tripods and professional editing software.

  • All participants Act, Edit, Direct and Produce their own short films

  • Once registration is completed, a camp package is sent to all participants with learning materials and detailed schedules.

  • Summer Camp Venue for Instruction and Editing is Rm 7, 11th Floor, Block A, Wing Wah Industrial Building, 31 Chong Yip St. Kwun Tong. Shooting locations are subject to change depending on participants' decisions: Course Fee: 3,000 hkd all inclusive of administration, equipment and materials.

假日電影製作營 

 

Focus on Film舉辦的假日營會於暑假、農曆新年、聖誕節及復活節期間舉行。假日營的活動緊湊,參加者會於課程的第二天便開始拍攝活動,以爭取更多使用器材實習的機會。我們相信實際動手參與製作,是讓參加者吸取知識及激發創意的最佳方法。 

 

假 日營活動通常於星期一至星期五進行,上課時間為早上九時至六時(特別註明除外)。課程首日會教授電影製作之基本,次日下午開始進行為期三天的拍攝活動。參 加者作品的剪接工作,會於課程最後兩天進行。由於參加者將被設置於一個真正的製作環境中,各團隊的活動時間將因應其所選取的拍攝場景、天氣及環境等各項因 素而有所調整。課程每天均設有午饍時間。課程的最後一天為作品放映會,歡迎參加者的家人及朋友出席以示支持。

 

所有課程的導師,均為電影及錄像研究的專業人仕,部份更持有國外認可的專業資格。課程師生比例為1:7FOF課程所收取的費用包括拍攝及製作過程中的器材、交通及保險的支出。

課程內容包括:影視表演及指導、前期製作、製作策劃、劇本創作、劇本分場、電影分鏡、製作團隊架構及各項職能介紹、訂立製作規條、攝影機操作、燈光、音響、演技訓練、導演學、製作管理、後期製作、剪接及放映。

 

參加者所採用的先進製作設備包括專業高清攝影機、油壓式三腳架及專業剪接軟件等。我們所挑選的課程導師,均在電影製作及藝術教育有一定的經驗,亦曾接受我們的培訓。在活動進行期間,我們亦會監察導師們與學生的溝通及表現。

 

所有參加者均會為他們的作品擔任導演、剪接、演出等工作。我們很高興能為參加者提充足創作自由的空間,以提昇他們在製作過程中的責任感。參加者在完成課程註冊後,會收到一份假日營的資料,當中包括學習材料和詳細的時間表。
