Focus on Film, Hong Kong’s premiere youth visual arts organization, is touring the schools with a specifically tailored workshop in film production. Participating schools looking to fulfill the government initiative to provide students with quality English language exposure can do so through our workshops.

Focus on Film (FoF) 作為香港首家致力為培育青少年視覺藝術發展的非牟利組織，現正舉辦多項以電影製為主題的英語課程，附設專題研習及以文字為基礎的兩種學習模式。

A variety of script support is used in order to increase students’ knowledge of classic literary works as well as new and original English works. Through the magic of hands on video production, students become familiar with English language and as a result have a completed film of their work to present.

Focus on Film provides schools with an educational package before the beginning of the workshops as well as all video production materials

Apprenticeship Program

FOCUS ON FILM runs an apprenticeship program for those students with past experience in production who wish to participate in a professional shoot as assistants. This unique program offers students an amazing opportunity to learn from professionals in the field. Participants are chosen on basis of interest, experience AND drive.

On program, students will learn along side professionals in the field in tasks as varied as: camera operation, lighting, post production and live video switching during performance. Dates will vary according to placement and students availability.

Holiday Camps

Focus on Film holds Holiday camps during summer, Chinese New Year, Christmas, and Easter holidays.

These fast paced intensive camps allow the participants to maximize their time on the equipment by jumping into the production phase within the second day. We follow a philosophy of hands-on learning because we believe it is the most effective way to absorb knowledge and experiment with creative thinking.

All students work with high end video production material including Pro HD cameras and Final Cut Editing software.

Topics covered in all camps are: acting for camera, directing for camera, pre production, line producing, script writing, script breakdown, storyboarding, production roles, set protocol, camera operation, lighting, sound, acting, directing, production management, post production, editing and screening.

假日電影製作營

Focus on Film舉辦的假日營會於暑假、農曆新年、聖誕節及復活節期間舉行。假日營的活動緊湊，參加者會於課程的第二天便開始拍攝活動，以爭取更多使用器材實習的機會。我們相信實際動手參與製作，是讓參加者吸取知識及激發創意的最佳方法。

假日營活動通常於星期一至星期五進行，上課時間為早上九時至六時（特別註明除外）。課程首日會教授電影製作之基本，次日下午開始進行為期三天的拍攝活動。參加者作品的剪接工作，會於課程最後兩天進行。由於參加者將被設置於一個真正的製作環境中，各團隊的活動時間將因應其所選取的拍攝場景、天氣及環境等各項因素而有所調整。課程每天均設有午饍時間。課程的最後一天為作品放映會，歡迎參加者的家人及朋友出席以示支持。

所有課程的導師，均為電影及錄像研究的專業人仕，部份更持有國外認可的專業資格。課程師生比例為1:7。FOF課程所收取的費用包括拍攝及製作過程中的器材、交通及保險的支出。

課程內容包括：影視表演及指導、前期製作、製作策劃、劇本創作、劇本分場、電影分鏡、製作團隊架構及各項職能介紹、訂立製作規條、攝影機操作、燈光、音響、演技訓練、導演學、製作管理、後期製作、剪接及放映。

參加者所採用的先進製作設備包括專業高清攝影機、油壓式三腳架及專業剪接軟件等。我們所挑選的課程導師，均在電影製作及藝術教育有一定的經驗，亦曾接受我們的培訓。在活動進行期間，我們亦會監察導師們與學生的溝通及表現。

所有參加者均會為他們的作品擔任導演、剪接、演出等工作。我們很高興能為參加者提充足創作自由的空間，以提昇他們在製作過程中的責任感。參加者在完成課程註冊後，會收到一份假日營的資料，當中包括學習材料和詳細的時間表。
